Behind the times as usual

Now that everyone seems to have recovered from their crises (Patroclus excepted), it's probably time for Smat the Unfashionable to join in.
I'm tired. I know it doesn't sound much, but I'm permanantly drained. I take on too many responsibilities (with the best of motives) then pick up lots of the dross that other people don't want to do, but needs to be done if whatever it is, is going to function, and now I've come to a point of almost complete paralysis.
I have a pile of paperwork about a foot high which needs to be dealt with (some personal, some organisation-related, lots of rubbish to be sifted through).
There's a collection of files which need to be boxed up and sent to the accountants which has been there for nearly a week.
The house needs far more time spent on it that I can be motivated for.
The grass in the back garden is thigh-high.
The Baby Smats need some attention (not too much, I'm from the hands-off school of parenting unless there's bloodshed, so too much involvement would freak them out).
There are three cheques which need to be sent to pay for various Baby Smat activities otherwise their places won't be held.
There is no food in the house (slight exaggeration - nothing which easily can be put together to form a meal) because I haven't been to Tescos for three weeks.
There's a load of white washing (including Mr Smat's favourite top) which had an unfortunate encounter mid-washing cycle with a biro, and needs me to open the bottles of Stain Devil, all sitting in the laundry.
And I can't even be bothered to watch Big Brother.
I haven't a clue where to start, and I just want to go back to bed.....

UPDATE:
accounts posted, cheques posted, paperwork sorted into smaller piles (mine, his, don't know), washing done, ironing not, grass mowed (mostly), Tescos visited.
On reflection Big Brother is a waste of time, although I do enjoy the Digital Spy forums (fora?), and the Baby Smats are managing perfectly well without any active parental involvement ("go AWAY Mummy, we're fine"). Still not enough sleep though, must do something about that.

I've always thought you do far too much. I recommend you go back to bed, then get up and burn the box of paperwork, and then we'll go to Freud's and drink long island iced teas till we're sick.

maybe not until we're sick - as I recall, the loos there are ever-so-slightly-tricky to get to after a *ahem* couple of drinks. Sounds like a plan though.
