Well, DH claimed that since I asked for flowers online, all I deserved were virtual flowers, which arrived (somewhat belatedly) today, but they did come with some virtual chocolates, which was nice. Bless him, he does try.
Still, REAL FLOWERS WOULD BE NICE!
I painted my kitchen yesterday - a lovely bright and cheerful yellow. Thie children love it, but DH says it reminds him of the Only Fools and Horses episode called "Yellow Peril" and he wants some sunglasses please. This domestic DIY was urgently called for since I'm having a dishwasher delivered on Thursday and I needed to make some space, then it all looked horribly unpainted, and i just had to attack it with Crown's "Golden Sun". I've never had a dishwasher before - I'm hoping the children will regard it as a new toy, meaning I don't need to either empty or load it, nor buy them birthday presents - two birds with one stone.
