Just had an 'interesting' conversation with the Inland Revenue (and no, I'm not doing a link to them because they are inefficient and irritating).
IR chap: "We can't accept this form because it's a photocopy"
Smat: "Oh"
IR chap: "Have you sent us the original?"
Smat: "Yes, you had that some time ago. This is a copy of the original."
IR chap: "That's OK then, I can accept it. Thanks for your time."
What planet do they breed them on? Perhaps I could have tried "and while you're on the line, perhaps you could process the £20,000 tax refund I have outstanding?" Although even IdiotBoy might not have fallen for that one.
