Things have been busy busy busy in the house of Smat. Another assignment (79% this time, thanks for asking), lots of intrigue and political scheming in the playground (is a day trip to the National Gallery suitable for 5 year olds with the current terrorist threat - discuss) and recovery from a monumental hangover (yes it was six weeks ago, but it was a very good hangover).
I'm currently debating with myself which Open University course I want to do next. Now that I've got the hang of producing assignments without actually doing any of the work, I quite like this degree lark. This was where I failled quite spectacularly at A level - I could cope with the not doing any of the study, I just couldn't pull it off for the exams. So I quite fancy Robotics and the Meaning of Life where you get to play with Lego, although unfortunately not the "gay hairdressers paradise" Lego we currently have, but some more macho stuff at around £150. But I could also work my way up to "Understanding the Universe" via "Basic Astronomy" and "The Planets": then I could explain Schroedingers Kittens while sober and not cause an entire pub to kill themselves laughing at me. Must track that book down on Amazon
